Dacey Named Women’s Soccer Coach

Framingham native Sarah Dacey, who has gone on to a successful coaching career after earning three national championships during an All-America playing career at the University of North Carolina, has been named the head women’s soccer coach at Bentley University, Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams announced today.

Thakkar and Gordon Named Interim Head Coaches for Football and Women’s Soccer

Sajan Thakkar and Danielle Gordon have been named the interim head coaches for football and women’s soccer at Bentley University. Thakkar, Bentley’s current offensive coordinator, previously coached at Harvard University, SUNY Maritime College and Fitchburg State University. Gordon has been an assistant woman’s soccer coach at Bentley for five years. A former Division I standout, she played collegiately for Boston College and Northeastern University.

Sophomore Sydney O’Connor (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) scored her 4th goal of the season, but Bentley fell to Southern New Hampshire 2-1 in the final match of the regular season on Wednesday. The Falcons had already clinched a spot in the Northeast-10 playoffs going into the match. They will be the No. 6 seed and will play at Adelphi in the first round on Sunday.
