Bentley University rising senior Tommy Ayres (Bolton/Nashoba Reg. HS) has been named to the 2015 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Golf Team, which was released on Wednesday.

The field for the 2015 NCAA Division II regional golf tournaments was announced Friday afternoon with Bentley University included for the fifth consecutive year and the tenth time in the last 14 years. The Falcons received an automatic berth by virtue of winning the Northeast-10 Conference Championships last September and were the number four seed in the East Regional.

After beginning the day in third place, the Bentley University golf team turned in a second-round 309 Saturday to capture the season-opening St. James Plantation Invitational at the Founders Course by one stroke over West Chester University. It was the Falcons’ fourth tournament victory of the season, their eighth in the last two seasons and 13th over the last four years.
