39 Falcons Receive Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence from NE10

Thirty-nine recent Bentley University graduates are among the 2022 recipients of the Northeast-10 Conference Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence, an honor awarded by the conference to graduating senior student-athletes for their outstanding work in the classroom during their college careers.

50 years ago, when Title IX became law, there were no athletics for women at Bentley University. A year later, field hockey, basketball and softball debuted as club sports. The following year, all three were elevated to varsity level, with Daryl Leonard the head coach of each.

Bentley University handed out its Outstanding Senior Athlete awards on Friday with men’s basketball guard Jordan Mello-Klein (Sharon/Thayer Academy) and women’s track standout Chase Davies (Marblehead/Marblehead HS) the recipients. In addition, the Edward J. Powers Scholar-Athlete Award was presented to football’s Andrew Brazicki (Franklin Park, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas HS).

Concessions Policy Announced for Home Athletic Events

January 13, 2022

Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, concessions and catering service will be closed at all athletic events until further notice.  Individuals may not bring food and/or beverage items into the Arena, the basketball facility or the pool. Individuals with specific/special dietary needs due to medical conditions or religious requirements should contact the Athletic Department or Bentley Arena prior to arrival.

Bentley University student-athletes, who topped NCAA Division II in academic success rate for the fifth consecutive year, has once again received the NCAA Division II Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence. There are over 300 Division II institutions and the Falcons are one of only ten to earn the accolade every year in the program's 11-year history.

Bentley Announces Vaccination Requirements for Home Indoor Athletic Events

Bentley University will require guests at all indoor campus athletic events to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test administered within the previous 72 hours. The policy will go into effect on Friday, October 8 when the Falcons open their 2021-22 home hockey schedule against Ohio State.
