Tracie (Seymour) Robidoux Selected for Northeast-10 Hall of Fame

Former Bentley University women’s basketball standout Tracie (Seymour) Robidoux, a 1992 graduate and a 1997 inductee into the Bentley Athletic Hall of Fame, has been selected for the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame. The announcement was made Tuesday evening during the conference’s annual banquet in Portsmouth, N.H.

HS), a pair of sophomore forwards who have helped Bentley University to a pair of conference championships and NCAA Division II Elite Eight appearances, have been selected for the 2011-12 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference women’s basketball team.

It certainly hasn’t been easy, and in fact, it’s required three dramatic comebacks. But the bottom line is that Bentley University women’s basketball coach Barbara Stevens has her Falcons back in the national semifinals for the first time since 2003 and the eighth time since 1989. The 31-3 Falcons will take on 32-1 Ashland University tonight at 6 pm CT (7 pm ET) at the St. Mary’s University Greehey Arena for the right to play in Friday night’s national championship game.

While Bentley University’s Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame coach Barbara Stevens is no stranger to taking a team to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight, last year’s trip to St. Joseph, Mo. was a new experience for all the players. That won’t be the case when the 2012 Elite Eight is held this week at St. Mary’s University’s Greeley Arena. Of the 14 players on this year’s Bentley squad, eleven are making a return trip to the Elite Eight and eight received game experience in a first-round loss to eventual national champion Clayton State.

For the second straight year, the Bentley University women’s basketball team is headed for the NCAA Division II Elite Eight! The Falcons punched their ticket to San Antonio by using their most prolific half of the season (58 points on 67 percent shooting) to overcome a 12-point deficit and went on to record an 84-73 win over sixth-seeded Holy Family University Monday night at the Dana Center in the championship game of the NCAA Division II East Regional.
