98 Bentley Student-Athletes Receive D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards

Ninety-eight Bentley University student-athletes have received 2014-15 Academic Achievement Awards from the Division 2 Athletics Director Association for their success in the classroom last academic year.
Connor Repeat Selection on Academic All-Northeast-10 Softball Team

Shannon Connor (West Haven, Conn./West Haven HS), the leading hitter for the Bentley University Falcons each of the last four seasons, has been selected for the Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference softball team for the second straight year. She was one of five repeaters on the 13-player team.
Merrimack Blanks Bentley 4-0 in Season Finale

A quartet of Merrimack College pitchers, including sophomore starter Haley Currie (Burlington), combined on a four-hitter as the Warriors blanked Bentley University, 4-0, in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball Sunday afternoon. It was the season finale for both clubs.

Sophomore Nicole Gubellini (Salem, N.H.) pitched a five-hit shutout in the opener and freshman Sarah Lavallee (Candia, N.H.) scattered six hits in the nightcap as Southern New Hampshire University, ranked 24th in Division II, completed a three-game series sweep of Bentley University by taking both ends of a doubleheader, 3-0 and 5-1, in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball Saturday afternoon at Bentley.

Sophomore pitcher/designated player Kelsey Smith (Jaffrey, N.H./Conant HS) pitched a one-hit shutout in the nightcap and was 4-for-8 with three RBI during the doubleheader as Bentley University swept St.Michael’s College, 6-4 and 8-0, in Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division softball Sunday afternoon at Doc Jacobs Field. The eight-run rule halted the nightcap after six.
