Longtime Bentley University women’s volleyball coach Sandy Hoffman, five former All-Americas and one of the premier defensemen in the formative days of the university’s Division I hockey program have been selected for the Bentley University Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will be held in the Lacava Center Executive Dining Room on September 26.

Playing at home for the final time, seniors Tatiana Froelich (Newton/ Newton North HS) and Simone Silvera (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook HS) were among the standouts as Bentley University outlasted Merrimack College in five sets in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Tuesday night at the Dana Center. The scores were 24-26, 25-20, 25-21, 19-25 and 15-7.

After a disappointing loss Friday night, Bentley University bounced back to sweep Le Moyne College, 3-0, and capture a share of the Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball regular season championship Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center. The scores of the Senior Day victory were 25-10, 25-15 and 25-22.
