Bentley University sophomore outside hitter Kelsey Buckner (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) was recently selected for the 2012 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball team.

Bentley University put up a strong effort in the first two sets, but saw its season come to an end with a 3-0 loss to regular season champion and once-beaten University of New Haven in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Friday night at the Charger Gymnasium. Scores were 25-22, 25-23 and 25-15.
Bentley Claims Election Night Victory in New Hampshire, 3-1

Athletes from across the country, including Florida and California, helped Bentley University record a 3-1 Election Night victory over Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball Tuesday night at the SNHU Fieldhouse. Scores were 25-19, 22-25, 25-15 and 25-19.

Despite trailing by at least four points in all three sets, American International College swept Bentley University, 3-0, in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Friday night at the Dana Center. The scores in the Falcons’ final home appearance of 2012 were 25-22, 25-20 and 25-23.

Merrimack Upsets Bentley, 3-1, Despite Strong Performance from Conner

Outside hitters Stephanie Sheehan (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Shaunda Forcier (Gonic, N.H.) combined for 30 kills and 21 digs as Merrimack College upset Bentley University in four sets in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Tuesday night at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-21, 25-20, 16-25 and 25-22. The Merrimack win came despite a strong performance from Bentley senior middle blocker Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS).

Four different players recorded at least 10 kills, with that quartet combining for a .346 hitting percentage, as Bentley University posted a four-set win over Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center. Scores were 25-22, 19-25, 25-13 and 25-17.

Outside hitters Natasha Ray (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.) each had 11 kills as Franklin Pierce University put away Bentley University in four sets in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Saturday night. The match was played at Brandeis University’s Auerbach Arena due to resurfacing of the Dana Center court.

Bentley University sophomores Emily Garcia (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas HS) and Savannah Dominguez (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity HS) each had a season-best 10 kills, but it wasn’t enough as the Falcons fell in five sets to St. Michael’s College in Northeast-10 Conference women’s volleyball Thursday night at the Ross Sports Center. Scores were 25-15, 23-25, 25-13, 21-25 and 15-7.

The Falcons took the first and third sets by identical 25-21 scores, with a 25-17 sandwiched in between.

Senior co-captain Grace Conner (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS) continued her strong hitting, with 11 kills and no errors, and sophomore Kelsey Bucker (San Marino, Calif./San Marino HS) had a team-high 13 kills as the Bentley University womenââ¬â¢s volleyball team completed a successful weekend trip to New York with a 3-1 Northeast-10 Conference win over Pace University Saturday afternoon at the Goldstein Recreation Center.
