Alatalo Selected for CoSIDA Academic All-District Track & Cross Country Team

Bentley University sophomore Erik Alatalo (Wilmington/Wilmington HS) has been selected for the 2014-15 Capital One Division II Academic All-District 1 men’s track and cross country team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). District 1 includes student-athletes competing in the Northeast-10 Conference, the East Coast Conference and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
Six Bentley Cross Country Runners Receive Academic Honors from USTFCCCA

Six members of the Bentley University men’s and women’s cross country teams, including repeat honorees Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) and Sarah Brennan (Quincy/ Notre Dame Academy), received All-Academic honors for the 2014 season from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Sophomore Cullen McHale (Burlington, Conn./Lewis S. Mills HS) was the top runner for the Bentley University men’s cross country team during Sunday’s Mayor’s Cup at Franklin Park, with his 8,000-meter time of 26:04 second best among collegians in the meet that included predominately club athletes.

Seniors Tara Dooley (Lee/Lee HS) and Alix Pettinella (Wingdale, N.Y./ Arlington HS) will serve as captains of the 2014 Bentley University women’s cross country team while junior Sean Nee (West Yarmouth/Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS) and seniors Christian Connolly (Kingston/Silver Lake Regional HS) and Mac Segura-Cook (Northwood, N.H./Coe-Brown Northwood Acad.) will fill that role for the men’s team, head coach Kevin Curtin announced.
