NASHUA, N.H. --  Led by sophomore Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS), the Bentley University men's cross country team closed out its season by placing sixth among 28 teams in the NCAA Division II East Regional at Mine Falls Park Saturday afternoon.

Bentley posted a team score of 198 to finish behind American International (33), Stonehill College (90), Roberts Wesleyan (95), Franklin Pierce University (110) and Adelphi University (198). The top three will advance to the NCAA Division II Championships in Louisville, Ky.

Also cracking the top 40 for the Falcons were two other sophomores, Cullen McHale (Burlington, Conn./Lewis S. Mills HS) and Rupak Mehta (Howell, N.J./Howell HS). McHale was 38th in 32:46.6 and Mehta crossed one place and 5.7 seconds later.

The rest of Bentley's top five were freshman Graham Chapski (East Greenwich, R.I./ East Greenwich HS), 52nd in 33:19.4, and junior David Cooper (Woburn, Mass./Woburn HS), 60th in 33:37.2.
