Fehskens Top Finisher for Bentley Women at Shacklette

MANCHESTER, N.H. – After missing most of the indoor and outdoor seasons due to injury, Bentley University sophomore Paige Fehskens (Wareham, Mass./Wareham HS) returned to action Saturday and was the Falcons' top finisher at Saint Anselm College's Shacklette Invitational.

Fehskens finished the 5,000-meter course in 20:23, nearly identical to the time she posted a year ago in her collegiate debut. In both races, she placed 17th overall.

Also cracking the top 30 for Bentley were sophomore Kaileigh Wimert (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS), a pair of seniors, Courtney Loughnane (Canton, Mass./Canton HS) and Marianne Bartolotta (Wantagh, N.Y./Holy Trinity HS), and sophomore Abbie Newman (Hanson, Mass./Whitman-Hanson Reg. HS). Wimert was 25th (20:47), Loughnane 28th (20:50), Bartolotta 29th (20:51) and Newman 30th (20:51).

Stonehill College edged Assumption College for team honors, 31-45, while Bentley was fifth among seven teams with 126.

On Sept. 16, Bentley will run in the Bruce Kirsh Cup at the New Hampshire State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H.
