Bentley junior Julia Morena ran track at Tahanto Regional and competed in the 3,000 and 5,000 meters for the Falcons indoor and outdoor teams her first two years of college, so adjusting to a little longer distance last fall, her first for cross-country, wasn't so bad.
The trails and terrain took a bit more getting used to.
"It's not one circle that you're consistently running around," Morena said. "Last season was a big trial period for me getting used to the different ground and hills.
Morena, a Boylston resident, had a successful first season, and this fall has really come on strong. She finished fourth at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Oct. 25 at St. Michael's and this Sunday will race at the NCAA Division 2 Regionals in Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
