Parker & Wheeler Selected for Academic All-Northeast-10 Volleyball Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Amanda Parker (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North HS) and Ellie Wheeler (Olathe, Kans./Saint James Academy) have been named to the Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference women's volleyball team. Both are repeat honorees, having previously been recognized last year.

Parker, a first-team All-Northeast-10 and AVCA All-East Region honoree, had a standout season for the 26-7 Falcons. She was the only player in the East Region with at least 500 assists and 150 kills and averaged 5.21 assists, 1.6 kills, 2.2 digs, 0.56 blocks and 2.3 points.

A graduate student who is pursuing her MBA, Parker amassed 1,698 assists and 898 digs during a career that included three NCAA East Regional appearances. As an undergrad, she graduated Magna Cum Laude last May with a bachelor's degree in professional sales.

Wheeler, a junior outside hitter who is majoring in economics-finance, led Bentley in kills and points for the second consecutive year. She averaged 3.1 kills and 3.4 points this past season, and for her career, has 665 kills, 365 digs and 724.5 points.

Wheeler was voted to the All-Northeast-10 team for the second time in as many years and received AVCA All Region honorable mention recognition.

Both players own grade point averages of at least 3.7.
