Capece, Burmester earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – A couple of Bentley women's track & field runners earned All-Region honors for the 2024 outdoor season from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the USTFCCCA recently announced.

Caitlin Burmester earned All-Region for both the 800-m and 1500-m, while Molly Capece received the nod for the 5,000-m.

Capece, a freshman, won the Northeast-10 in the 5,000-m by crossing the finish line in 17:56.83. She was the only runner in the event to break the 18-minute mark.

Burmester a junior, ran the 800-m in 2:14.46 during the NE10 Championships. Her best time in the 1500-m this season came in the NEICAAA Championships, where she crossed the finish line in 4:34.88.
