Bentley Set for This Weekend’s Northeast-10 Outdoor Track Championships

CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL | LIVE RESULTS | NE10 NOW | SCHEDULE

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will be at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, N.H. Friday and Saturday for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.

Action at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium will begin at 2 pm Friday and will be streamed over the NE10 NOW digital network. On Saturday, field events are scheduled to get underway at 10 am and track events are slated for a 12:30 start.

Eleven Bentley competitors are listed among the top eight in their respective events with junior Lucy Ambroult (Holbrook/Holbrook HS) and senior Brice Tolan (Abington/Abington HS) the highest qualifying Falcons.

Ambroult has the second-best qualifying time in the long jump and the fourth-best in the 100-meter dash. She owns the school record in both, a 12.50 in the 100 that she ran two weeks ago at UMass-Lowell and a 19-foot long jump, achieved at Lowell last year. Her NE10 history includes a third in the 60 indoors in February and fifth in the long jump last May.

Tolan is second on the list in the 1500, trailing only Southern Connecticut's Jonathan Volpe. He was sixth in the event last year and was fifth in the mile indoors a few months ago.

Sophomore Caitlin Burmester (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin HS) and junior Cole Duval (Tolland/Mount Everett HS) are both among the top eight qualifiers in two events. Burmester is fifth in both the 800 and the 1500, and Duval is fifth in the 10,000 and sixth in the 5,000.

Burmester previously was fifth in the 2023 indoor 800 and eighth in the 2022 outdoor 800. Duval ran to ninth in the indoor 5,000 in February.

Other Falcons who are fifth on the performance list are senior Hannah Greene (Weston, Conn./Weston HS) in the high jump and sophomore Alex Lawes (Brick, N.J./Brick HS) in the 400 hurdles. Greene was sixth at the indoor championships and Lawes was third last year.

Freshmen Parker Rush (Rumford, R.I./LaSalle Academy) and Daimein Garcia (Providence, R.I./St. George's School) are listed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the javelin and senior Jack Deehan (Westwood/Westwood HS) is seventh in the 800. He was fifth at that distance at both the 2023 indoor and 2022 outdoor championships.

Senior Audrey Christo (Belmont/Belmont HS), who was sixth in the 3,000 indoors, will compete in the 1500 with her qualifying time ranking eighth.

At last year's championships, the Bentley men were eighth and the women were ninth.
