Bentley Falls to No. 41 Rollins in Spring Break Opener

WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Bentley women's tennis team fell to Rollins College, ranked No. 41 in the ITA Division II rankings, 7-0 on Monday in the Falcons' first match of its spring break trip.

Graduate student Alexandra Borg, ranked 29th in singles by the ITA, was among the winners in singles for the Tars. She competed in the No. 2 match against Bentley's Maria Mella (Santo Domingo, D.R.).

The rest of the singles lineup for the Falcons was Makena Romagnano (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) in No. 1, Adriana Hiraldo (San Juan, P.R.) in No. 3, Remi LeSage (Sarasota, Fla./IMG) in No. 4, Anna Lang (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) in No. 5 and Rachel Holden (Pomfret, Conn./Woodstock) in No. 6.

In doubles, Rollins' team of Borg and Georgina Groth, ranked 11th in doubles, highlighted the Tars' efforts with a victory in the No. 1 match.

Bentley will continue its spring break trip on Wednesday when they take on Franklin and Marshall.
