Bentley Celebrates Senior Day on Thursday vs. SNHU

WALTHAM Mass. – The Bentley University women's tennis team recognized its two senior student-athletes on Senior Day on Thursday, Alessa Matuty (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) and Alyssa Cook (New Castle, N.H./Portsmouth), prior to the team's match against Southern New Hampshire.

Matuty, a two-year captain for the Falcons, is a finance major with a minor in management. Cook is a marketing major at Bentley with a minor in finance. She has twice been named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and last season earned an Academic Achievement Award from the Div. 2 Athletic Directors Association.

Southern New Hampshire went on to win the match 7-0. They improved to 9-1 on the season and have won five matches in a row.

The Penmen's No. 1 singles player, graduate student Natalie Kallmunzerova (Prague, Czech Republic), won the ITA East Region singles tournament back in September. She won in both No. 1 singles and doubles today.

The Falcons (2-5, 2-5 NE10) return to the courts on Saturday when they visit Le Moyne.
