WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley senior Rachel Petrini (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) capped her career by being named the Northeast-10 Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

A team co-captain this season, Petrini helped Bentley to a 9-0 sweep of Simmons on Saturday in Bentley's season finale.

She first recorded  an 8-1 victory in No. 1 doubles with partner Katie Tynan (West Barnstable, Mass./Barnstable), and followed that up with a straight sets win in No. 1 singles by a 6-4, 6-3 score.

As a doubles team, Petrini and Tynan led the Falcons in total wins this season with nine. All of those came in the No. 1 position, and five of them were in Northeast-10 matches in the fall.
