Bentley Drops 9-0 Decision to No. 16 Florida Tech
MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Bentley University women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat to No. 16 Florida Tech Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match. The Panthers improve to 12-4 on the season, while Bentley goes to 5-3.
Fourth-ranked singles player junior Kristina Huba led the way for Florida Tech with wins in both top-flight singles and doubles. She swept to the singles win over freshman Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East), and teamed with senior Stephanie Dohner to defeat Yamus and freshman Catherine Gianino (Burlington, Mass./Burlington) in doubles.
The Panthers picked up the win just one day after having their eight-match winning streak snapped.
Bentley continues its spring break trip on Thursday against Tampa for an 11:00 am match.
