Bentley Sweeps Assumption; Wong Notches 100th Career Win

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University swept Assumption 9-0 Tuesday in Northeast-10 women's tennis to improve its record to 2-0 both overall and in the conference. The victory was also the 100th of head coach Alex Wong's career on the women's side.

Bentley swept through the doubles matches, with seniors Rachael Litton (Burlington, Ontario/Nelson) and Paulina Sotomayor (San Antonio, Texas/Ronald Reagan) winning the top-flight match over Meghan Hall and Erica Micciche 8-2.

In singles, freshman Ludmila Yamus (Deer Park, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills East) defeated Micciche in the top-flight 6-0, 6-2. Litton got the better of Marie Black in the second-flight 6-3, 6-3.

Wong, now in his 10th season in charge of the women's team, is seven wins away from the century mark with the men's team.

Bentley returns to the courts on Thursday at Le Moyne.
