Falcons Fall to SNHU 8-1, Set to Meet Saint Michael’s in NE-10 Quarters
MANCHESTER, N.H. – Bentley closed out the regular season with an 8-1 loss at Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, meaning the Falcons will be the fifth-seed in the Northeast-10 Women's Tennis Championship and will play at fourth-seeded Saint Michael's on Wednesday.
Junior Katie Van Gilst (Harwinton, Conn./Lewis S. Mills) took Bentley's only win on the day, defeating Samantha Jean in fifth-flight singles, 8-2.
The Falcons finish the regular season with a record of 9-4 in the NE-10 and 9-11 overall. Saint Michael's pulled out a narrow, 5-4 win over Bentley on March 31 in the only meeting of the season.
