Women’s Tennis Stopped by Babson 7-2
MEDFIELD, Mass. – Led by three double winners, Babson posted a 7-2 non-conference win over the Bentley women's tennis team on Saturday. The Falcons' record fall to 3-2 on the season.
Babson won all three doubles matches and took four of the six singles matches.
The winners for Bentley in singles were freshman Melanie Scott (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) and junior Katie Van Gilst (Harwinton, Conn./Lewis S. Mills). Scott defeated Courtney Fischer in No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-4, and Van Gilst beat Victoria Lorido in No. 6 singles 6-1, 7-5.
Bentley is back in action on March 11 at Eckerd.
