BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College posted a narrow 5-4 victory over the Bentley women's tennis team Thursday afternoon in the spring opener for the Falcons.

Bentley dropped all three doubles matches but made up ground in the singles portion, winning four of the six.

Brittany Harbert (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet) was victorious in the second-flight, beating Emily Annis 7-5, 6-0. Freshman Melanie Scott (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) topped Natalie Egbert 6-1, 6-3 in the third-flight. Katie Van Gilst (Harwinton, Conn./Lewis S. Mills) got the better of Gina Pinciaro 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth-flight and Stephania Adondakis (Sandy, Utah/Waterford School) beat Emily McDonough 6-1, 6-2 in the sixth-flight

Bentley's record falls to 3-1, while Endicott improves to 15-2. Bentley is back in action on Sunday at Babson.
