Bentley Gets 8-1 Homecoming Win Over Le Moyne
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University improved to 2-0 in the fall season with an 8-1 win over the Le Moyne Dolphins in Northeast-10 women's tennis action Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons had four double winners on this day, seniors Kara Murphy (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) and Brittany Harbert (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet), junior Rachael Litton (Burlington, Ontario/Nelson) and freshman Melanie Scott (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug).
The quartet won the second through fifth flight singles matches, and junior Katie Van Gilst (Harwinton, Conn./Lewis S. Mills) won the sixth-flight match.
In doubles, Litton and junior Paulina Sotomayor (San Antonio, Texas/Ronald Reagan) won the top-flight match, Murphy and Scott won the second-flight and Harbert and sophomore Alyssa Hayes (Berlin, Conn./Berlin) won the third-flight.
The Falcons conclude their fall season tomorrow against Pace.
