Falcons dominate first dual of 2024

COLCHESTER, Vermont – The Bentley women's swimming & diving team opened the new calendar year in a big way, defeating St. Michael's, 213-78, in Vermont Tuesday afternoon.

Results

Emma Hapkiewicz, Jordan Nuzback, and Isabella Montanari each won three events for the Falcons.

The meet began with Bentley winning the 200-medley relay. Nuzback, Skyla Lang, Caroline Cloxton, Montanari posted a time of 1:56.46

Nuzback went on to win both three 200-freestyle (2:01.26) and the 100-freestyle (55.71). Montanari was the first to touch the wall in the 50-freestyle (25.46) and in the 200-breaststroke (2:35.50).

Hapkiewicz dominated the 1,000-freestyle. Her winning time of 11:01.16 was more than 36 seconds ahead of the second-place swimmer from Saint Michael's. She also posted a winning time of Hapkiewicz 5:25.35 in the 500-freestyle. Grace Motisi placed second in that event (5:30.11).

Hapkiewicz was on the winning 200-freestyle relay team (1:45.66), along with Madison Capria, Cleo Zhou, and Motisi.

Motisi was victorious in the 50-breaststroke (33.56), while Lang finished close behind in second place (33.93).

Brydie Olofson won the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:22.47, and Caroline Ubert was first in the 50-butterfly by timing in at 27.95 seconds.

Hilla Almog won the 1-meter dive with a score of 186.35, and she was tops in the 3-meter dive with a score of 255.00.

Bentley's next dual is at Southern Connecticut, Jan. 12.
