Swimming & Diving Visits Keene State for Saturday Meet

WALTHAM, Mass. – The swimming and diving season rolls on as the Falcons visit the Keene State Owls on Saturday.

The Falcons improved to 3-1 on the season with a 174-117 victory at Brandeis last weekend.

Senior Emma Hapkiewicz continued to pile up the victories with wins in the 1000 and 500 free.  She also swam the 200 backstroke for the first time this season and was victorious with a time of 2:13.98.

Hilla Almog won both of the diving events, and on Tuesday she was recognized as the NE10 Diver of the Week for the sixth time in her career and second time this season.

A couple of freshmen had strong meets for the Falcons against the Judges.

Freshman Bella Montanari won two races to help the winning effort. She was victorious in the 200 free (2:02.50) and 50 free races (25.43).

Freshman Skyla Lang also won three races. She first took the 100 breast stroke and followed that up with a win in the 200 breast stroke. She then finished her night by touching first in the 200 IM.

Season bests in that meet were swam by Montanari in the 50 free, Jordan Nuzback in the 100 free and 50 back, Hapkiewicz in the 200 back and Lily Rice in the 200 fly.

After Saturday's meet, the Falcons will head to the WPI Gompei Invitational from Dec. 1-3.
