On This Day, 2011: Hodsdon, Kaduboski Become Bentley’s First Swimming All-Americas

On March 11, 2011, sophomore Jessica Hodsdon and senior Anne Kaduboski became the first women's swimming All-Americas in Bentley history after impressive performances at the NCAA Division II Championships at the Palo Alto Natatorium in San Antonio.

Hodsdon achieved the feat first, placing sixth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.65. Shortly thereafter, Kaduboski did her one better, finishing fifth in the 200 butterfly in 2:02.47.

Both Falcon standouts qualified for the evening finals with school record-setting performances in the morning prelims.

Hodsdon had the fourth best qualifying time in the 100 breast with her time of 1:03.50 breaking the school record she set last month by 1.28 seconds.  Kaduboski was number two in the prelims in the 200 fly, swimming a 2:01.34 to best her own school record by 1.7 seconds.  It was the sixth time in the NCAAs that she has broken a school record.

Kaduboski also competed in the 100 backstroke Saturday morning and finished 23rd with her time of 57.78 seconds improving on the Bentley standard she set last month by two-hundredths of a second.
