Win Streak Hits 30 as Bentley Women Defeat Pace, 164-116

WALTHAM, Mass. – It may have been Senior Day for the Bentley University women's swimming and diving team, but it was the sophomore class who stood out as the Falcons won their 30th straight dual meet, 164-116 over Pace University Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

The Class of 2022 accounted for five of Bentley's dozen wins, with Lucy Slowe (Millis/Millis HS) leading the way. She captured both the 100 yard backstroke (1:00.92) and the 400 individual medley (4:39.75) after helping the Falcons open the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay (1:53.68).

That quartet also included a trio of freshmen: Dariana Gonzalez (Stamford, Conn./Westhill HS), Kathryn Galvin (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern HS) and Jennifer Chen (Darien, Conn./Darien HS).

Sophomore Rona Mejiritski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Bowling Green HS) matched Slowe's two wins as she was first to touch in the 1000 freestyle (10:59.43) and the 200 butterfly (2:13.52).

The other win from a second-year swimmer came from sophomore Emily Sweet (Nashua, N.H./ Nashua North HS) in the 500 free (5:17.41).

Gonzales, senior Ariana Revelas (Snyder, N.Y./Nardin Academy) and freshman Mary Huminski (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS) were also double-winners for Bentley. Gonzales captured the 200 free (1:55.90) and the 200 back (2:07.37) while Revelas earned wins in the 100 breast (1:09.36) and the 200 breast (2:30.83) in her final Dana Center appearance.

Huminski swept the diving with scores of 226.79 from the one-meter board and 238.80 from the three-meter.

Bentley, 9-0, will look to complete a second straight unbeaten dual season Wednesday at Bridgewater State.
