Following her outstanding performance in the Northeast-10 Championships last weekend, Bentley University junior Emily Niemiec was profiled by her hometown paper. Here's the story, written by Sean Krossik.

WALTHAM, Mass. — Emily Niemiec's voice was still hoarse after a weekend of screaming and cheering at the Northeast-10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships.

Imagine what her teammates from Bentley University must have sounded like. The junior from Meriden gave them plenty to cheer about.

Niemiec was named Women's Swimmer of the Meet after medaling in all seven events in which she competed last weekend at Southern Connecticut State University. The Maloney grad earned four gold medals, two silvers and a bronze and, in the process, set or was part of six Bentley records.
