Ewen Adds First Team All-Region to Postseason Recognitions
WALTHAM, Mass. – Goalkeeper Claire Ewen was named first team All-Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association on Tuesday, adding to her postseason recognitions.
The All-Region team encompasses student-athletes from the Northeast-10 Conference, East Coast Conference and the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
Ewen was previously named the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Year and first team All-Conference. She also garnered Academic All-District team honors from the College Sports Communicators.
She had a standout junior season for the Falcons in between the posts. She posted five shutouts, an .856 save percentage and a 0.97 goals against average. Her save percentage ranks second in the NE10 and her GAA is fourth.
During the season, she was twice named the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week.
The Falcons qualified for the NE10 postseason in the first season for head coach Sarah Dacey.
Ewen will now advance to the All-America ballot, with the teams announced on Dec. 6.
