Falcons Aim for Home Playoff Game Wednesday at Southern N.H.

WALTHAM, Mass. – Women's soccer closes out the regular season on Wednesday night at Southern N.H. with the aim of securing a home game in the Northeast-10 Championship on Sunday with a win.

Setting the stage

The NE10 standings are tightly bunched going into the final day of the regular season. Just three points separate SNHU in third and AIC and Southern Connecticut tied for seventh.

Bentley is in the middle of that, tied for fifth with 14 points with Saint Anselm. A win over the Penmen on Wednesday would give Bentley the No. 4 seed at worst, and possibly No. 3 depending on Franklin Pierce's result. The Ravens have 15 points and the head-to-head tiebreaker over Bentley. They play at AIC on Wednesday.

Saint Rose (28 points) and Adelphi (24) have already clinched the top two seeds.

Gleason's got the goals

Bridget Gleason scored her 7th goal of the season on Saturday against Southern Connecticut. She's tied for 5th in the NE10 in goals.

Ewen is tops

Goalkeeper Claire Ewen leads the NE10 with a .866 save percentage. That's in the top-20 nationally in Division II.

Bentley has the second best team goals against average in the NE10 at 0.79.
