Women’s Soccer Enters Home Stretch in Strong Position

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's soccer team enters the home stretch of the 2023 regular season in a strong position in the standings, and they will look to solidify their position when they visit Saint Michael's on Tuesday.

 

A look at the standings

With three games left in the regular season Bentley is in a tie for third place with Saint Anselm with 14 points. They have a three point lead over Pace in fifth place.

The Falcons have the head-to-head tiebreaker over both teams thanks to a 3-1 win over the Hawks on Oct. 3 and a 2-1 win at Pace on Oct. 18.

 

Last time out

Bentley defeated Pace in its last game on Oct. 18. Sydney O'Connor scored both of the goals, in the 38th and 74th minutes.

The goals brought her tally to seven points on the season, second on the team. It was her second career multi-goal game.

 

Iron Woman

Center back Jillian Hendriksen has played every minute this season. She's gone the distance in all 12 games. She's chipped in offensively as well with a goal and two assists. Twin sister Jenna has a goal and three assists and is tied for second on the team in points.
