Women’s Soccer Travels to Saint Anselm on Wednesday

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley travels up to New Hampshire on Wednesday to take on Saint Anselm for a 4:00 PM start. This will be the Falcons' final non-conference match of the season before NE10 matches start next week.

Long road

Bentley is in the middle of a four-match road trip that was supposed to begin last Friday at Franklin Pierce, but the match was postponed due to thunderstorms. The Falcons will face Assumption next Tuesday night for their NE10 opener and New Haven a week from Saturday for the final game of the trip.

Seven of the first nine matches of the season are scheduled to be on the road.

Unbeaten start

New head coach Sarah Dacey has gotten off to a 1-0-2. She earned her first win as Falcons coach on Sept. 2 with a 1-0 win over Wilmington (Del.).

Battle of the birds

The all-time series between the Falcons and Hawks is 19-10-2 in favor of Saint Anselm. Last season's match in Manchester ended in a 1-1 tie. Sydney O'Connor had Bentley's goal in the 15th minute. The teams played twice in 2021, in the regular season finale and the quarterfinals of the NE10 playoffs.
