Goulet and Hassapis Receive Postseason Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Dana Goulet (Wilmington, Mass./Wilmington) and Kat Hassapis (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) from the Bentley University women's soccer team have both received postseason recognition for their play during the 2021 season.

Goulet, a senior midfielder, was named second team All-East Region by the United Soccer Coaches. She was also voted first team All-New England by the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association.

Hassapis, a graduate student goalkeeper, was voted third team All-East Region by the United Soccer Coaches.

A team captain this season, Goulet started all 17 of Bentley's matches and led the team in minutes played. Along with junior midfielder Brooke Jones, the two tied for the team lead in each of goals (5), assists (3) and points (13). Three of Goulet's goals this season were game-winners.

Goulet was previously named first team All-Northeast-10 back in November.

Hassapis posted some impressive numbers in 2021. She led the NE10 in save percentage (.880) and had the third lowest goals against average in the conference (0.64). Her save percentage ranked 7th best in all of Division II.

She garnered second team All-Conference honors from the NE10 for the 2021 season.

A team captain this season, Hassapis wrapped up her Bentley career as the program's all-time leader in shutouts (16) and goals against average (0.89). Her 26 career wins are second most.

Both student-athletes helped Bentley to another strong season. The team went 8-6-3 overall, finished in 3rd in the NE10 standings and just narrowly missed out on a second straight NCAA Tournament bid.
