Women’s Soccer Reveals 2017 Schedule

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University women's soccer head coach Lauren Lukis has revealed her team's schedule for the upcoming 2017 season. The slate features 16 matches, and the Falcons will get the season underway on Friday, September 1 at Molloy.

The Falcons, who went 9-6-2 last season (6-6-2 Northeast-10) and just missed out on the NE10 Playoffs, will play twice on Long Island on the season's opening weekend. After facing Molloy on opening day, they will take on Dominican (N.Y.) on September 3.

The Falcons will then open NE10 play on Friday, September 8 with a road match against American International. Bentley won last year's meeting with the Yellow Jackets 2-1 in double overtime on a goal by Peyton Kent (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan) with just 19 seconds left.

Bentley plays its home opener on Wednesday, September 13 against Merrimack, followed by another home match against Assumption on September 16. The Falcons defeated both local rivals on the road last season, 2-0 and 4-2, respectively.

After going on the road to race Adelphi (Sept. 18) and Saint Anselm (Sept. 27), Bentley closes out September with a home match against Saint Michael's on Saturday the 30th.

Bentley opens October with a road match at Franklin Pierce on the 3rd, which is followed by home matches against Saint Rose on Saturday the 7th and Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday the 11th. The final two home matches of the regular season will see Pace visit on Tuesday the 17th, and New Haven on Saturday the 28th, which is the final day of the regular season.

The Northeast-10 Playoffs get underway on Tuesday, October 31, with the top eight teams qualifying.
