WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley women's soccer team rallied from 3-0 down in the second half with a flurry of goals, and sent the game to overtime in the 88^th minute, but had to settle for a 4-4 draw with Southern New Hampshire in Northeast-10 women's soccer play Wednesday afternoon.

Bentley was in a 3-0 hole after 57 minutes, but just 38 seconds after Southern New Hampshire's Kasey Morrison scored her second of the game to put the Penmen up by three, they began their rally.

Sophomore Katie Moroney (North Andover, Mass./North Andover) scored her first of the season off a free kick to make it 3-1. In the 60^th minute junior Deirdre Leary (Holden, Mass./St. Peter Marian) made it 3-2.

The Falcons equalized in the 63^rd minute on a tremendous goal by junior Molly Alfieri (Southington, Conn./Southington), as she shot from nearly 40 yards out on the right wing and dropped the ball into the lower left hand corner of the net.

All told, Bentley scored three goals in less than six minutes to tie the score.

The Penmen appeared to score a backbreaking goal in the 74^th minute, senior Ariel Teixeira setting up junior Kaleigh Roberge for her second of the game, only for Moroney to equalize in the 88^th minute with a header to send the game into overtime.

With darkness setting in and each team appearing to tire, the teams struggled to create scoring chances, though in the second overtime, junior Laura Muise (Newburyport, Mass./Newburyport) sent a dangerous cross into the box that went just over the head of a Bentley player with the goalie beaten.

The tie means that Bentley is eliminated from playoff contention, while the Penmen lock up a spot with the result. Bentley's record goes to 6-9-2 overall and 5-7-2 in the NE-10, and Southern goes to 9-6-2 and 7-5-2.

The Falcons will close out their season on Saturday afternoon at home against No. 16 Saint Rose for a 1:00 p.m. Senior Day game.
