Johnson Named IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Maeve Johnson was named the IWLCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Johnson had another big offensive week to help the Falcons to two more wins and extend their winning streak to six games.

She had six goals and four assists in a win over Southern New Hampshire on April 10 for her second-straight game with double-digit points. She then had four goals and two assists in Saturday's 15-6 win at No. 22 Saint Anselm. For the week, Johnson totaled 16 points, on 10 goals and six assists.

Johnson has been the Northeast-10 Player of the Week for two straight weeks.

On the season, she leads the NE10 with 63 points and is second in goals with 43.

She is the second Falcon this season to earn an IWLCA national player of the week award. Goalie Ashlee Wargo was the Defensive Player of the Week on March 5.

Ranked 18th nationally, the Falcons next play on Saturday at home against New Haven.
