Johnson and Affolter Named IWLCA All-East Region Second Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Junior attacker Maeve Johnson (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) and junior midfielder Caroline Affolter (Newburyport, Mass./Central Catholic) from the Bentley University women's lacrosse team were named to the IWLCA All-East Region Second Team.

Both student-athletes were previously named second team All-Northeast 10.

Johnson notched 47 goals and 14 assists for 61 points in 17 games. She led the team in goals and points and was third in assists. Johnson also pulled down 60 draw controls to rank third on the team.

Among her season highlights, she was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll four times. On April 26 against Saint Anselm she hit the 100 career points milestone, in just her 31st career game. On March 5 against Southern Connecticut she had 10 points, which was just one shy of the program single-game record.

Affolter was an all-around force for the Falcons with 67 draw controls, 32 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers, all of which were among the team leaders. She scored 27 goals and added six assists for 33 points.

Bentley finished its season with a 10-7 record and was ranked 16th in the latest IWLCA Division II poll.
