Boudreau, Fish, Gies & Keenan Named Captains of Bentley Women’s Lacrosse Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – A quartet of seniors will serve as captains for the Bentley women's lacrosse team for the 2022 season, head coach Taylor Bastien announced. The four student-athletes are Caroline Boudreau (Foxborough, Mass./Foxborough), Christine Fish (Slingerlands, N.Y./Guilderland), Glenna Gies (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) and Kayli Keenan (Pelham, N.H./Bishop Guertin).

All four were instrumental in helping the Falcons win the Northeast-10 championship last season and will help lead the team into the 2022 season looking to repeat.

"We are thrilled to announce Caroline, Glenna, Christine and Kayli as our captains for the 2022 season," said Bastien. "Each player brings a unique leadership style, and that provides a dynamic combination to guide our team towards our goals."

Boudreau is an attacker who is averaging better than one goal per game in her career with 44 goals in 34 career games. She scored a goal in the NE10 semifinal win over Saint Anselm to help the Falcons advance to the finals. She was named to the NE10 All-Rookie team in 2019 and is majoring in management.

Fish, a midfielder, filled up the stat sheet last season in a variety of ways. She was second on the team with 15 caused turnovers and was third with 33 draw controls. She also added 12 goals and 19 ground balls. An economics-finance major, she was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll after last season.

Gies was tied for fourth on the team in goals with 14 and tied for fifth with 19 points. She scored a hat trick in Bentley's NE10 semifinal win over Saint Anselm and also scored in the NE10 championship game victory over Adelphi. She majors in economics-finance.

Keenan played in all 15 games last season and started six. She scored five goals, notched three assists and also caused three turnovers on the season. She scored late in the second half of the NE10 championship game win to give Bentley an 8-6 lead. She also notched an assist in the NCAA Tournament game against Roberts Wesleyan.

An economics-finance major, she was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll after last season.

Bentley is set to begin the 2022 season on February 26 at Southern Connecticut.
