Patriot Ledger: "Milton’s Jen Gemma wants to end Bentley basketball career with a flourish"

Jen Gemma, named today as the Northeast-10 Player of the Year for the 2nd straight year, was featured in the Feb. 24 edition of the Patriot Ledger. Here's the story from Mike Loftus:

WALTHAM – It's not really the point of going away to college, but in Jen Gemma's case, it's OK to want to be the same thing at the end of her senior year that she was at the end of her first year at the school.

Don't confuse that with resisting growth. Gemma, a Milton native who earned Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic honors three times at Fontbonne Academy in Milton, has spent four years at Bentley University assaulting the Falcons' women's basketball record books – no easy feat, considering Bentley's status as one of the nation's pre-eminent NCAA Div. 2 programs.

The statistics are nice, and there's still time to make them even better. But the number Gemma has in mind these days is a small one – 2. She helped Bentley win the NCAA Div. 2 championship as a freshman in 2013-14, and wants very much to win a second.
