WALTHAM, Mass. – For the fourth time this season and the third time in the last five weeks, Bentley University freshman guard Megan Lewis (Sevenoaks, England) has been selected as the Spalding Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Lewis, who came to Bentley after a year at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire, averaged 12.5 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.5 steals during a 2-0 week while shooting .500 overall. She also knocked down 3 of 7 three-pointers and all 4 of her free throws.

In a 60-56 come-from-win against Southern Connecticut, Lewis filled the stat sheet with 13 points, a career-high 13 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. Her three-pointer from the right wing with 1:36 left tied the game at 54 and her two free throws with 19.4 seconds made it a two-possession game.

Earlier in the week, Lewis had 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 70-55 win over Saint Rose, a game in which she knocked down five of seven overall.

Lewis, who is second in the NE-10 in steals, averages 9.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.15 steals while shooting .455 from the floor. Since Christmas, she's been even more productive, giving the Falcons 12.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.7 steals on average. In those nine games, she's buried 16 of 31 triples and shot 50 percent overall.

Bentley has won five straight and 11 of its last 12 to improve to 17-3 overall. With seven regular season contests remaining, the Falcons lead the NE-10's Northeast Division by two games. The Falcons return to action Wednesday at Stonehill College.
