WALTHAM, Mass. – After a come-from-behind 68-54 win at Pace University on Wednesday, the Bentley University women's basketball will be back in the Empire State on Saturday for a 12 noon meeting with Le Moyne College. Game time at the Ted Grant Court is noon and a link to the webcast will be available at www.bentleyfalcons.com.

Both teams have been making winning a habit in recent weeks with the Falcons having won eight of their last nine and Le Moyne six of its last seven.

Bentley sits atop the Northeast-10's Northeast Division standings with records of 14-3 overall and 8-3 in the conference. The Falcons hold a one-game lead over Assumption, which is hosting Pace Friday night in a game moved up a day due to the impending snow.

Le Moyne is in a three-way tie for third in the Southwest Division with the Dolphins (9-8, 6-5 NE-10) two games back of American International, which has dropped its last three.

In Wednesday's game, Bentley used strong play from a pair of sophomore guards, Lauren Green (Damascus, Md./Damascus HS) and Macchi Smith (Los Angeles, Calif./Windward School), to storm back from 14 down a couple minutes into the second. The Falcons closed the second period with 15 unanswered points before outscoring the Setters 18-11 in the third and 13-8 in the fourth.

Green scored all 15 of her points in the second quarter, matching the team record for points in a quarter since the NCAA implemented the new system this season. Smith had the hot hand in the third when she picked up all of her 10 points.

All-Conference junior forward Jen Gemma (Milton/Fontbonne Academy) continues to lead the conference in scoring at 18.9 a game, despite being limited to 12, 13 and 10 points in the last three. She's also second in rebounds (10.2) and among the national leaders in double-doubles with 11.

Green, a 47 percent shooter from beyond the arc, follows at 11.1 ppg and freshman guard Megan Lewis (Sevenoaks, England) gives the team 8.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.1 steals a game. She's scored in doubles in five of her last six contests.

Bentley has had the most productive offense in the conference thus far with Coach Barbara Stevens' team averaging 70.4 points while shooting 43 percent overall and 39 percent from three.  Le Moyne has allowed only 48.9 points a game during its current hot stretch, lowering its season mark to 57.3.

Guard Vandell Andrade has been having a solid senior year, giving the Dolphins 15.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and nearly two steals a game. Over the last two games, she's made 12 of 17 shots from inside the three-point stripe.

Senior forward Maggie Brown is the team's other double-figure scorer with her averages 10.7 points and 7.0 rebounds.

After completing a stretch of three straight on the road, Bentley will be back in the Dana Center twice next week, hosting Saint Rose Wednesday and Southern Connecticut Saturday.
