Bio

 In her fourth year as DeGregorio’s top assistant is Melissa O’Connor, a former two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection at Saint Anselm College.

“Melissa is very enthusiastic and energetic and has a passion for the sport,” said DeGregorio. “She provides as an assistant coach something similar to what she brought to Saint Anselm as a player.”

O’Connor, who played third base for the Hawks, also earmed All-New England accolades in 2003 and was the recipient of the Saint Anselm Sportsmanship Award in 2004. After her collegiate playing career, she was invited to play professionally in Europe in the summer of 2005. O’Connor was a captain of her Saint Anselm team and served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

O’Connor, 27, graduated from Saint Anselm in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business, and is currently a police officer in her hometown of Belmont.
