3 Bentley Softball Players Earn All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors from the NFCA

WALTHAM, Mass. – Three members of the Bentley University women's softball team have been selected as NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their performance in the classroom during the 2014-15 academic year.

The three are senior Jill Raia (Montville, N.J./Morristown-Beard School), junior Katelyn Lebreux (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford HS) and sophomore Jordan Ballantyne (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./Arlington HS). They received the honor for having a grade point average of 3.5 or better for the year.

Raia and Lebreux are both accounting majors while Ballantyne is majoring in both actuarial science and business studies.

As a team, Bentley had a 3.20 GPA during the 2014-15 academic year with 12 of the 15 players exceeding 3.0.
