On This Day, 2016: Bentley Places 5 in Top 13 to Capture Trevecca Division II Showcase

On September 24, 2016, the Bentley University men's cross country team ran to victory at the Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tennessee. Leading the way were juniors Graham Chapski and Ryan Cadorette.

Competing in a field of 12 teams, Bentley finished with a score of 48 to best runner-up Rogers State (Okla.) by 19. Bloomsburg University (Pa.) and Truman State (Mo.) both finished at 111 with the former winning the tie-breaker.

Bentley placed its five scoring runners in the top 13 with Chapski fifth overall and Cadorette eighth. Chapski covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:40.5, averaging 5:22 per mile, and Cadorette followed in eighth (26:59.8, 5:25.9).

Rounding out the Falcons' top five were junior Seamus Higgins in 10th (27:15.4, 5:29.0), sophomore Cody Murphy in 12th (27:20.8, 5:30.1) and senior Erik Alatalo in 13th (27:24.1, 5:30.8).

Rogers State had the top two runners on an 83-degree morning with Baylor Harvey besting teammate Seth Whittington by 53.2 seconds with a time of 25:38.1.
