Balsis shines in 60-m hurdles during River Hawk Invitational

Boston, Mass. – The Bentley men's track and field team competed on Saturday at the River Hawk Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance among a number of prominent Division I programs.

Freshman Sam Balsis was the Falcons' top performer on the day. He finished 4th in the 60 meter hurdle finals with a time of 8.90. That was just .07 behind the winning time of 8.83 from Chase Adams from Colby-Sawyer.

Balsis also ran the anchor for the 4x400 relay team, along with Evan Bean, Hayden Pike and Andrew Goehrig.

Later in the meet Balsis also competed in the high jump.

Cole Duval placed 26th in the 5000M with a time of 15:46.27, Sam Capobianco ran 8:53.36 in the 3000 and Matt Chicko crossed in 4:29.59 in the one mile

The sprints saw Quinn Riesenberg in the 60 M finals (7.30), Ryan Dennehy in the 200 M finals (23.17) and Bean in the 400 M finals (52.40).
