EASTON, Mass. – During a non-scoring dual meet at Stonehill College Sunday afternoon, members of the Bentley University men's track and field team won four individual events.

Three of the victories came in the throwing events with senior Peter Maselli (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson HS) capturing the javelin (162'9"), junior Joe Chau (Watertown/ Watertown HS) doing the same in the discus (117'6") and sophomore Jason Caplan (Westport, Conn./Staples HS) throwing the shot 39'5".

Junior Joe Wix (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial HS), who was running against two of his teammates, broke the tape in the 400 meters, finishing in 53.98 seconds.

Senior Brian Shevlin (Floral Park, N.Y./Chaminade HS) was second of 12 in the 100 meters, his time of 11.34 seconds a new personal best by 0.10 seconds. It also elevated him to tenth on the Northeast-10 Conference performance list. In addition, he was second of nine in the 200 with his 23.34 improving on his career best by 0.92 seconds.

Next Friday and Saturday, Bentley will be at UMass-Lowell for the George Davis Invitational.
