NEW LONDON, Conn. – Bentley University junior Nik Haas (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey HS) posted his third career victory as he broke the tape in the 1500 meters Friday night during the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College.

Haas finished in 3:56.14 to edge runner-up Kevin Serrao of Middlebury College by 1.31 seconds. It improved on his personal best by 0.24 seconds and put him at number four on the Northeast-10 Conference performance list.

Senior Sean Nee (West Yarmouth, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth Reg. HS) was first among collegians and second overall with a time of 1:54.13 in the 800. Improving on his PR by 1.71 seconds, he finished just seven-hundredths of a second back of Dage Minors, who was running unattached. Nee moved to ninth on Bentley's all-time list and third on the NE-10 list.

Also in the 800, junior Tim Bolick (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton HS) finished eighth in the 24-runner field in 1:56.21, the seventh best time in the NE-10 so far this season.

Sophomores Ryan Cadorette (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) and Seamus Higgins (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) both improved on their PRs in the 5,000 meters by more than 25 seconds while turning in times that rank in the NE-10 top six. Cadorette was 16th of 21 in 15:05.81 and Higgins 19th in 15:17.27.

On the women's side, senior Samantha Albanese (Lynnfield, Mass./Lynnfield HS) ran the fourth fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase time in the NE-10 this season, placing seventh overall in 12:14.35.
