Men’s Tennis Tops Division I Merrimack 4-3
WALTHAM, Mass. – Men's tennis improved to 2-0 on the season with a 4-3 victory over Division I Merrimack on Friday afternoon.
Bentley's victory in the doubles matches proved to be the difference after the teams split the six singles matches 3-3.
In the No. 2 doubles match, Max Bonte and Christian Duffy defeated Blake Queiroz and Henrik Lindeman 6-3.
Bentley won the No. 3 doubles match with the team of Liam Marr and Ansh Chadha to take the doubles point.
The Falcons then took the No. 2, 4 and 6 singles matches. Gabe Horwitz knocked off Lindeman in three sets in No. 2, 5-7 6-1, 6-3.
Chadha, the reigning NE10 Rookie of the Week, defeated Queiroz in No. 4, 6-3, 6-3. And Duffy won the No. 6 singles match.
Bentley's next match is on Wednesday at 3:00 PM when they host Southern N.H.
