Bentley Voted Second in NE10 Preseason Poll; Ranked 6th in East Region by ITA
Waltham, Mass. – Bentley has been voted second in the Northeast-10 Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll, it was announced by the conference on Wednesday.
The Falcons garnered 39 points and one first place vote to come second in the poll. Bentley was also ranked 6th in the East Region in the preseason ITA rankings that were released.
The team has already gotten off to a 4-0 start from the fall. They won all four of their dual matches, and also competed at the Bryant and Merrimack Invitationals, which featured competition against Division I players.
Last season the Falcons went 15-9 overall and 7-2 in the NE10 to finish in a tie for 2nd place. They earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as the No. 5 seed in the East Region.
This season's team is captained by senior Kendall Au (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex) and junior Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn).
Bentley will begin its spring season on Feb. 9 at Brandeis.
