Pilch Has Two Wins but Bentley Drops 6-3 Decision to Brandeis

WALTHAM, Mass. – Freshman Kamil Pilch (Wroclaw, Poland/IMG Pendleton) won in both singles and doubles, but the Brandeis University men's tennis team got the better of Bentley University 6-3 in a battle of Waltham schools Monday afternoon.

Pilch and senior Rodrigo Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) were the only winners in doubles for Bentley, beating Steven Milo and Michael Secular in the No. 1 match 8-6.

Pilch was then one of two winners for the Falcons in singles. He rallied from one set down to beat Alec Siegel 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 in the No. 3 match. Senior Lucas Wever (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) was also a winner in singles for the second straight match after returning from a season-long injury. He defeated Danny Lubarsky 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 in the No. 6 match.

Bentley has its three match winning streak snapped and falls to 6-9 on the season, while the Judges have won three in a row and go to 6-6.

Bentley is back in action on Wednesday when they visit Merrimack.
